Saturday Leage Competition Level?

Postby WeLikeIke » Tue May 04, 2010 5:17 pm

I'm trying to decide between the Summer League and Saturday League right and am looking for some guidance. The dilemma is...

I would not be able to make most summer league games besides the major tournaments, but do want to play at a pretty competitive level.

If in the Saturday League, could make 90% of games, but worried the competition level may be unsatisfying (multiple years traveling to tournaments and played in college).

Can anyone here provide some context around the level of play for the Saturday league? Also, is it frowned upon to sign up for Summer and only show up for the major tournament days?

Thanks!

The best player in Saturday League on a given day probably couldn't make any regionals college or club team in the South. I don't think you'll find it satisfying. I hear Snickers are good for that, and cheaper.

I would agree with that in general. The unknown factor this year is the weeknight registration limit. It is possible that there will be more club level type players than usual due to the overflow.
