Hi my name is Bill Belanger and I met Chris O'Cleary at the Atlanta Open and she told me there were a ton of you playing ultimate and that I should try to get in touch with some of you for my womens events.
So...here I am!
I am running a women's tournament at East Roswell Park on June 26th. It is not sanctioned so you don't have to be a member of any disc golf associations to play. That also means it will be looser and more fun than a PDGA tournament.
It will be a 2 round tournament with the first round being singles where you will play against the women in whatever division you choose (beginners would want to play in REC...but you ultimate folks usually pick it up fast so who knows!).
The 2nd round will be pro-am doubles where you could be matched up with one of the top women in the area.
1st round will have normal payout, which should hover around 100% of pay in...I do have a lot of costs to cover but with the large players pack for signing up everyone will walk away with something...
1st place in each division will also get a unique trophy...no plastic person standing on a plastic column kind of stuff.
2nd round will be trophy only and will feature a super wicked trophy for the winning team (each gets one) that you will want...heck I want it...I just might wear a dress and play! (who am I kidding, you ladies would KILL me).
I am trying to get Chris to come out and play (maybe you can help me there), I know you hated the course Chris but I promise it will be more fun this time!! Several other pros are also planning on coming out who probably mean little or nothing to you if you don't follow the sport so I am not going to dwell on that!!
Players pack will be a custom disc, some home-made soap and scrubbies from Courtney McCoy, and whatever other swag I can score.
Here is the website with tourney and sign up info:

If you have any questions please feel free to ask me, if you want to meet up and play with my wife and I let me know and we can set that up too...I can bring some discs if you don't have any.
This thing is really about fun, even though it is a competition it is a chance for women from all over to get together and hang out...and maybe walk away with some cool stuff!
Hope to hear from you, thanks for your time.
