Sunday pickup "on" for Labor Day weekend (9/4/11)

Any idea when the next pick-up game might be at Coan?

This pickup was pretty consistent in the past; until someone posts here I'd just show up and hope for the best!

It's Atlanta's (and maybe the southeast's) longest running pickup game. We go year 'round. We were there last week. We'll be there tomorrow (even though it's Easter). Whether permitting, we'll be there next week. All are welcome.

As has been the case for the last couple of summers, we've seen our turnout diminish while league has been going on (plus, you know, it's just hot outside, and the A/C feels so good). So we're tabling things until after the EOS tournament (which is 8/13-14). We'll see if we can get things rolling again the following weekend.

(I guess it makes my post above a little less emphatic, huh?)

Anyway, thanks for your patience and/or support.

We'll be out there on Sunday - throwing, running, laying out (well, maybe). All those things that Ultimate players do (sometimes).

4:30 to throw/warm-up (in case it's not warm enough already.) 5:00 to play. If it's too hot this week, we'll push it back for the next couple of weeks.

We're out again today, but pushing back 1/2 hour due to heat: 5:00 pm to warm up/throw; 5:30 for game.

Despite the multitude of diversions available this weekend, a few folks have said they're coming out, so we should have a game going. It's supposed to be cooler starting Sunday, so it should be nice weather to play. Come on out!

This is, of course, my fault. I've been trying to put "weather permitting" in my posts, in deference to the god(s) of all things ultimate and pleasureable. I even checked the forecast before my post, and at 2am it still looked good for play later in the afternoon. But I forgot to show humility before Poseidon (and/or Lynch's Weather Machine) and that's what we got.
