Hotlanta Invite

Hey everyone,

My name is Noah and I am the tournament director of the Hotlanta Invite. I am posting on the board because I would love to have some more local Atlanta teams attend the tournament.

I am giving all teams from the area a discount for competing at Hotlanta, along with teams that made regionals last year. Here are some more details concerning the tournament:

Hotlanta will be hosted at the Georgia Soccer Park. I know your club hosts a couple great tournament there every year.

Hotlanta will have an open, mixed, and women's division. It is a classic 2 days tournament, with pool play on Saturday and bracket play on Sunday.

I have a great sponsorship with a local hotel that is offering double bed rooms for 54 dollars/night.

With not many club tournaments near the area, I thought this tournament would be great opportunity for local teams to get in some competitive games. Thanks for taking the time to read this email. I also emailed the guy a few weeks ago to try and get some information. All I gathered was his name was Neil and the bid fee for GA based teams was $275. Suspicious myself, I got in contact with Jenny Lee and Tom Deaver since the tournament was supposedly going to be held at GSP. Tom also hadn't heard from the guy in a while (a few weeks ago) and didn't believe the tournament was happening. When I emailed Neil again to try and get a response, I didn't get anything back so I doubt anything will be taking place that weekend at GSP that is ultimate related.

My apologies Noah. I didn't mean to get your name wrong, it was just a blunder on my part. I also didn't want to insinuate that this tournament is a scam as stated by anon in a previous post. I'm sure it will be a fine tournament.

Please tell us some info so folks can stop being worried about the tourney and start getting pumped for games.
