Is the UPA magazine online? I was trying to find the most recent issue with the articles on club predictions. Anybody know?

Speaking of those club predictions, they have JAM losing in the semis to either Furious or Sockeye...funny how they didn't even make it to the big dance this year. I bet they are really regretting not taking all those players that are now on Revolver and going to Natties. They also mention a good bit about Doublewide and their performance to make quarters last year. Again, not going to the big dance.

Much respect was paid to Ozone, and rightfully so!!

The South Mixed division was basically a praise of the former Hangtime team and how they don't have any competition in the region this year. Enter Rival - who destroyed all the competition at Reggies. Just shows how impossible it is to seed the mixed division.

Weird...

Postby erincoker » Fri Oct 13, 2006 4:18 pm

I think it's weird that the UPA is trying to be so online with all the stuff they do, yet not even a link to the pdf of their magazine. I mean you have to register online, put your roster online, etc...

Frito, who do you play for again?

And...go Rival! Way to dominate and not even get a mention in the predictions...

The online rostering system sucks too!! I think the UPA is slightly misguided in what their membership wants.

And no, there was no mention of Chain in the club predictions...but we can't really demand any respect when we came in 14th place last year.

Well, the online rostering system certainly has its glitches, but from a coordinator's perspective it is a hell of a lot better than the old paper system. Hopefully, they'll continue to improve it, but it's a step in the right direction.

I'm thinking more from a fan perspetive. You can't view other teams rosters (depends on if they have them input or not...most don't)...sometimes you can't view their results from previous tournaments...

From a TD/organizer perspective, I can understand how the tool is VERY useful. But to expand the sport I think you need reach out to the fan-base. Looking forward to the UPA's continued improvement and this (and all other) front(s).

Here you go:

http://www.usaultimate.org/multimedia/u ... _magazine/

From the home page, click on "Multimedia", then USA Ultimate Magazine.
I probably wouldn't have looked for it there, but I found the link in an email I got.
For me Multimedia is audio or video. A paper magazine doesn't seem "multi" to me.
